Stephanie Smith is a Bay Area-based artist interested in art, design, and technology. The work conflates physical and digital spaces to explore perception and interaction in today's world.

Smith was formally one-half of smith|allen studio, an interdisciplinary studio exploring digital craft, art, and architecture. Focusing on site-specificity and nature through technology, smith|allen used 3d printing, laser cutting, and water jet cutting with a focus on scale, materiality, and experience.

Stephanie Smith has exhibited at Root Division (San Francisco), the Compound Gallery (Oakland), Interface Gallery (Oakland), ASC Projects (San Francisco), among others. She has been in residence at Autodesk and at Project 387. Her work has been published in Wired, 7x7, Architect Magazine, and Hi-Fructose, among other publications.
